Yes. The draft follows the structure required under the Indian Contract Act, the Registration Act 1908 and applicable state Rent / Leave-and-Licence laws. For terms of 12 months or more, registration with the sub-registrar is mandatory under Section 17. For under-12-month terms, notarised execution on e-Stamp paper is generally sufficient. Always execute on e-Stamp paper of the correct denomination for your state.
